Architecting — Google Cloud Platform
“Google Cloud”, When announced — Google Cloud it is not just a thing or a platform or something to work on, it’s a vibe. Google Cloud consists of a set of physical assets, such as computers and hard disk drives, and virtual resources, such as virtual machines (VMs), that are contained in Google’s data centers around the globe. Each data center location is in a region. Regions are available in Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America. Each region is a collection of zones, which are isolated from each other within the region. Each zone is identified by a name that combines a letter identifier with the name of the region. Google Cloud Platform offers services for compute, storage, networking, big data, machine learning and the internet of things (IoT), as well as cloud management, security and developer tools accessible to anyone and everyone just by navigating to the Google Console Page.
When it comes to IT Industry — Google is said to be one of the Tech Giants providing industry relevant, Entry level to Professional services and functionalities in a user friendly, effective, robust and appropriate manner. Google Cloud Platform is used in a wide variety of environments, all the way from startups to global enterprises. The Google Cloud Architect Certification is designed to familiarize learners with the various components of Google Cloud Platform and prepare them to implement solutions using Google Cloud Platform in any of these types of environments.
There are 5 courses in the ‘Architecting with Google Compute Engine’ specialization that provide learners with an understanding of the comprehensive and flexible infrastructure and platform services provided by Google Cloud Platform, with a focus on Compute Engine.
There is a plethora of demos, presentations, hands-on labs and assignments, through which participants can in detail learn how to deploy various solution elements and infrastructure components such as networks, systems and applications services. The five courses in this Google Compute Specialization include the following:
1. Google Cloud Platform Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure — The learning path in this Couse is all about, and compare, many of the computing and storage services available in Google Cloud Platform, including Google App Engine, Google Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine, Google Cloud Storage, Google Cloud SQL, and BigQuery.
2. Essential Google Cloud Infrastructure: Foundation — Here, User’s will be introduced to infrastructure design and virtual networking configuration with Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Projects, Networks, Subnetworks, IP addresses, Routes, and Firewall rules. Additionally, how to use the Google Cloud Platform through the console and Cloud Shell is demonstrated in an perfect way.
3. Essential Google Cloud Infrastructure: Core Services — Covers deploying practical solutions including customer-supplied encryption keys, security and access management, quotas and billing, and resource monitoring.
4. Elastic Google Cloud Infrastructure: Scaling and Automation — Knowledge regarding how to deploy solution elements, including securely interconnecting networks, load balancing, autoscaling, infrastructure automation and managed services.
5. Reliable Google Cloud Infrastructure: Design and Process — Here the design process of Google Cloud deployments that are highly reliable, highly available, secure, and cost-effective are discussed.
This entire Series focuses on applied learning and therefore incorporates hands-on labs using Qwiklabs platform which gives students an opportunity to apply the skills learnt in the video lectures and gain practical hands-on experience with the concepts explained throughout the modules.
Also, This google cloud training also helps learners prepare for the Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer Examination and Certification. Learners are expected to have basic proficiency with command-line tools and Linux operating system environments and systems operations experience with deploying and managing applications.
